Laker’s Liquor is committed to the responsible retail and enjoyment of alcohol. We care deeply about our customers, our neighbors and our community, and we believe selling alcohol responsibly is part of being a good local business.

Our Commitment as a Licensed Retailer

Laker’s Liquor is a licensed California retailer (CA ABC License No. 409734). We sell alcohol only to customers who are 21 years of age or older, and we check valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID at purchase, pickup and delivery. We will refuse any sale to anyone who is underage, cannot present valid ID, appears intoxicated, or whom we reasonably believe is purchasing on behalf of a minor. Our staff are trained to sell responsibly, and these checks are firm and non-negotiable.

Tips for Drinking Responsibly

  • Know your limits and pace yourself — there is no rush.
  • Eat before and while you drink, and alternate alcoholic drinks with water.
  • Never drink and drive. Plan ahead with a designated driver, a rideshare, a taxi, or public transit.
  • Do not let friends or family drive while impaired — help them get home safely.
  • Do not drink if you are pregnant, under 21, taking medication that interacts with alcohol, or operating machinery.
  • Keep alcohol stored safely and out of the reach of minors.

GOVERNMENT WARNING: (1) According to the Surgeon General, women should not drink alcoholic beverages during pregnancy because of the risk of birth defects. (2) Consumption of alcoholic beverages impairs your ability to drive a car or operate machinery, and may cause health problems.
