Billing Policy
This Billing Policy explains exactly how pricing, taxes, payments and charges work when you order from Laker’s Liquor. It is provided so there are never any surprises, and it is available to everyone without logging in. It works together with our Shipping Policy and our Returns & Refunds Policy.
Currency & Pricing
All prices on this website are listed and charged in US Dollars (USD). The price displayed on a product page is the price you pay for that product. The price shown on the product page always matches the price at checkout for the same item and quantity.
Taxes, Deposits & Fees
Applicable California state and local sales taxes, and any container or recycling deposits (CRV) required by law, are calculated automatically and shown as separate line items at checkout before you confirm payment. In-store pickup and local delivery within our zone are free. Any optional shipping fee for non-alcohol merchandise is calculated live at checkout and shown before payment — there are no hidden charges.
Accepted Payment Methods
We accept the following:
- Major credit and debit cards — Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover;
- Other digital payment options shown at checkout; and
- Cash for in-store purchases.
When & How You Are Charged
When you place an order, your selected payment method is authorized for the order total at checkout. For pickup and local-delivery orders, we may authorize the amount at checkout and capture (charge) it when your order is confirmed or fulfilled. For shipped merchandise, payment is captured when the order is processed. You will receive an emailed receipt after a successful payment. If your order is adjusted (for example, an approved substitution or partial cancellation), the final charge or refund will reflect only what was actually fulfilled.
Secure, PCI-Compliant Processing
All payments are handled by reputable, PCI-DSS-compliant third-party payment processors over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Laker’s Liquor does not store full card numbers on its servers. See our Privacy Policy for how payment-related information is handled.
Statement Descriptor
Charges typically appear on your card or bank statement as “Laker’s Liquor.” If you see a charge you do not recognize, contact us before disputing it and we will help identify it quickly.
Declined Payments
If a payment is declined or cannot be authorized, your order will not be processed. Please verify your billing details, available funds, or try another payment method. We are not responsible for bank or card-issuer fees resulting from declined or re-attempted payments.
Pricing Errors
Despite our best efforts, a product may occasionally be mispriced. If we discover an error in the price of an item you have ordered, we will contact you before charging so you can confirm the corrected price or cancel the order. We are not obligated to honor an obviously incorrect price.
Cancellations, Refunds & Chargebacks
Cancellations and refunds are handled under our Returns & Refunds Policy; approved refunds are issued to your original payment method. If you believe you were billed in error, please contact us first at support@lakersliquor.com or (323) 754-9813 — we resolve billing questions quickly and amicably, usually faster than a formal dispute.
