Shipping & Pickup
This Shipping Policy explains, in full, how Laker’s Liquor prepares and fulfills your order — including in-store pickup, free local delivery, and ground shipping of non-alcohol merchandise. It applies to all orders placed on this website and is provided so you know exactly what to expect before you buy. Laker’s Liquor is a licensed retail store located at 1040 W Imperial Hwy, Los Angeles, CA 90044. This version supersedes all prior shipping terms.
Where We Ship & Deliver
We are a California-licensed retailer and we serve customers in the United States only. Because alcohol is a regulated product, the fulfillment method available to you depends on what is in your cart and where you are located:
- Alcohol & tobacco — available for free in-store pickup at our store and for free local delivery within our California delivery area only. We do not ship alcohol or tobacco out of state or by mail/common carrier.
- Non-alcohol merchandise (glassware, gift sets, bar accessories, mixers and similar) — available for in-store pickup, local delivery, or standard ground shipping within the United States where lawful.
- We do not ship internationally and we do not ship to freight forwarders, to P.O. boxes for alcohol, or to addresses outside the United States.
Fulfillment Methods & Costs
1. Free In-Store Pickup
Pickup is always free. Order online, choose “Pickup” at checkout, and we will prepare your order and notify you when it is ready — typically the same business day for orders placed during store hours. Orders are held at the counter for 7 days.
- Cost: Free.
- Ready time: Usually within 1–2 hours during store hours; you will receive a “Ready for Pickup” email or text before you come in.
- Where: 1040 W Imperial Hwy, Los Angeles, CA 90044, during posted store hours.
- ID required: The person picking up must be 21 or older and present a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID. For any order containing alcohol or tobacco there are no exceptions, and we cannot release the order to a third party who is not named on the order.
2. Free Local Delivery (California)
We offer free local delivery to addresses inside our California delivery zone around Los Angeles. Delivery is handled by our own staff or a licensed delivery partner during store hours. There is no delivery fee and no order-minimum surcharge — the price you see is the price you pay.
- Cost: Free within the delivery zone. If your address falls outside the zone, the website will let you know at checkout and offer pickup instead.
- Timing: Same-day or next-day delivery for orders placed during store hours, subject to driver availability and weather. You will receive an estimated delivery window by email or text.
- Receiving an alcohol delivery: An adult 21 or older must be present, sober, and show a valid government-issued photo ID at the door. We cannot leave alcohol unattended, hand it to a minor, or complete a delivery to anyone who appears intoxicated or cannot produce valid ID. If we cannot safely complete the delivery, the order is returned to the store for pickup or refund (see “Failed or Refused Deliveries” below).
3. Standard Ground Shipping (non-alcohol items only)
Eligible non-alcohol merchandise can be shipped within the United States via a major carrier (such as USPS, UPS or FedEx). Shipping options and exact costs are always calculated and displayed at checkout based on the item, weight and destination before you pay — there are no hidden fees.
- Handling time: Orders are processed and handed to the carrier within 0–1 business day after your order is confirmed.
- Transit time: Standard ground delivery typically takes 0–2 business days within our region; nationwide delivery generally arrives within 2–7 business days depending on destination.
- Total delivery estimate: Most non-alcohol shipments arrive within 2–8 business days from the date of order. Estimates are not guarantees and may be affected by carrier delays, weather or holidays.
- Cost: Calculated live at checkout. We do not mark up carrier rates.
Order Processing & Business Days
Orders are processed during our normal store hours, seven days a week, excluding major holidays. “Business days” for shipping purposes are Monday–Friday. Orders placed after our daily cutoff, on a holiday, or during a holiday weekend begin processing the next business day. You will always receive an order-confirmation email immediately after checkout, and a second notification when your order is ready for pickup, out for delivery, or shipped.
Order Tracking & Confirmation
For shipped non-alcohol orders, a tracking number is emailed to you as soon as your package leaves the store so you can follow it to your door. For pickup and local delivery, you will receive status updates by email or text. If you have not received a confirmation within a few hours of ordering, please check your spam folder and then contact us at support@lakersliquor.com or (323) 754-9813.
Substitutions & Out-of-Stock Items
Inventory moves quickly. If an item you ordered is unavailable, we will contact you before fulfilling the order to offer a comparable substitution or a full refund for that item — we will never substitute without your approval, and we will never charge you for something we cannot supply.
Damaged, Lost or Delayed Shipments
We pack every order carefully. If your shipment arrives damaged, is lost in transit, or is significantly delayed beyond the carrier’s estimate, contact us within 7 days of the expected delivery date at support@lakersliquor.com or (323) 754-9813 and we will work with the carrier to resolve it — including a replacement or full refund where appropriate. Please keep all packaging and take photos of any damage to help us file a claim quickly.
Incorrect Addresses & Failed or Refused Deliveries
Please double-check your shipping or delivery address at checkout. We are not responsible for orders sent to an incorrect address provided by the customer, but we will always try to help recover a package. If a local alcohol delivery cannot be completed because no eligible adult is available, valid ID is not presented, or the recipient appears intoxicated, the order is returned to the store. You may then arrange pickup or re-delivery, or request a refund for the merchandise (any third-party re-delivery cost, if applicable, may be deducted).
Risk of Loss & Title
For pickup and local delivery, title and risk of loss pass to you when the order is handed over at pickup or completed at your door. For shipped non-alcohol merchandise, title and risk of loss pass to you upon our delivery of the package to the carrier; however, our damaged/lost-shipment protections above still apply.
Taxes & Fees
All applicable California state and local sales taxes and any container/recycling deposits required by law are calculated and shown at checkout before you confirm payment. See our Billing Policy for full pricing details.
